Isan Ladies
The contrast between the image of free and easy girls in tourist areas and bars in Bangkok, to the reality of traditional life is Isan is surprisingly stark. Marriage and courtship in Isan still mainly follows strict tradition, especially in rural areas. Isan women rarely have boyfriends until they meet the man whom they will eventually marry, and tradition requires that the betrothal is then announced. Younger fiancées will often be chaperoned, usually by a female friend, brother or sister while in the company of their future husband. There is also the tradition that a woman should 'marry up' in status. Many of our lady members will hold these traditional values and expect you to respect their traditions and you should not confuse them with the bar girls you find all over Thailand. Why meeting the girls in person is so important!
Having had the experience of online dating sites they have taught me a very important lesson. You can very easily form an attachment to a girl who is not at all suitable and who is most certainly not what they appear. If you are going to fly abroad to meet just one girl at a time, then it is likely you will take a good deal of time and a great amount of expense before you find a suitable partner. We have a small display stall in the shopping mall every weekend with a presentation of who we are and what we do. Girls can apply for free membership. They complete a form and we do an ID check and details of what they do for a living and where they work. We obtain references and visit each girl at there work and sometimes home.

They also attend a briefing and workshop so they are fully informed of what Isan Love is all about and what starting a relationship with a foreign man might entail. This ensures they are committed to the process and that they don't get any unexpected surprises.

We take applicants from girls that want to relocate abroad and also those that want to remain in Thailand because we are conscious that some guys will be looking to relocate to Thailand.

We run a variety marketing campaigns in press and other more direct methods to make sure we have a great number of potential girls and we can bring the right girls to the introductions. We have created a great buzz around Udon Thani via word of mouth and girls come looking for us every weekend in the Shopping Mall.

We don't give membership to girls we feel maybe unsuitable. We manage to weed out the bar girls and the time wasters looking for a free ride.
